A fun, expressive day
The focus of this workshop is to help you explore a looser, more impressionistic style of landscape painting. You’ll be introduced to the exciting world of combining watercolour, gouache, and soft pastels, working with these materials in a direct, expressive way that captures the essence of the landscape. Through dynamic and gestural mark-making, you’ll learn how to respond intuitively to your surroundings, creating vibrant, bold works that reflect the energy of nature.
During the group demonstration (around 35–40 minutes), your instructor will walk you through the process of developing a painting from start to finish. You’ll then have the chance to experiment with the techniques shown, while receiving tailored feedback and guidance. The lavender fields, with their vivid colours and tranquil atmosphere, offer the perfect setting to inspire your work.
